Vacation

BBQ Night

Alex's Birthday

Sing Star

This year we did a reverse vacation. Instead of going somewhere, we had people come to us. Three of Mike's sisters were in town so we were very busy visiting. One of Mike's sisters stayed with us with her husband and three boys! My kids love her kids to death so the week when extremely smooth. No fighting or bickering, just plain fun! We hosted a family dinner with everyone and ended up with 10 adults and 20 kids playing sing star! Mikayla and I went to Lagoon with two of the sisters and their kids. It was so much fun! Although my body is not made like it used to be I would still ride the roller coasters again! What a fun week it was! I would love to have a vacation like that again!

Gross! Flies!

Okay... so I know this looks really gross and it is! But I had to show that I am not exagerating when I say we have hundreds of flies knocking on our door! I had pest control come out and spray this morning so now they are dead. Why does this neighborhood get so many flies. We are relatively clean people aren't we? Maybe a new issue to take to the city!

A Day at Temple Square

Today I took the kids to Temple Square. It is the first time they have been there that they remember. We started out by seeing the Joesph Smith movie at the Legacy Theater. It was a very good way to teach the kids about his life. (We had to leave 10 minutes early though because Cameron threw a fit.) Then we toured the grounds. We went to the tabernacle and heard the pin drop demonstartion, went to the North visitor's center where we saw the Cristus Statue, and took pictures on the Temple steps. It was a fun day!

Trapped!

I finally figured out a way to trap the most curious child I have.
We don't have a playpen so this may do the trick for a day or two!

Water anyone?

Riley and Tyler love getting wet. We don't have swim lessons this session so we are making do with an elaborate sprinkler system. How fun it is to be a kid?!

What about Cameron?

So I don't want Cameron to feel left out so here is a cute picture of him at 9.5 months.

Old Friends Last Forever!

This evening we had our long time friends Joe, Erin, Carter and Aiden over for a father's day dinner. Both families are orphaned in Utah so we try to spend holidays together. Carter and Riley were bron 2 weeks apart and have been best of buds since. We love the Brown's!

Girls Just Want to Have Fun!

Mikayla had some friends over today to play dress up. They have this fascination with MY closet. (So do I!) They dressed up using my shoes, sunglasses, hats, belts, etc. Here are some cute shots of them modeling! Anyone have an agent?

Mikayla swims like a fish. This is definitely her sport!

Ice Cream Anyone?

Cameron is just like his Daddy.
He loves Vanilla Bean ice cream!

Up! Up! And Away!

So a funny thing happened the other day. We were all outside in the front yard enjoying the weather. Mikayla and Mike were trying to fly her kite in the limited wind. Mike thought it would be a great idea to run across the lawn to give the kite some air. During the fourth pass Mike tripped and fell, skinned his knees, then launched into a somersault. He then proceded to get up and run into the house. This all happened during rush hour traffic! Boy did they get a veiw and a good laugh. The road is behind Mikayla as she sits in our front yard.
