We're Going Back to Cali

Yesterday Mike got the offer we were waiting for! So it looks like we are going back to Cali! Whenever Riley sees a palm tree he thinks of California so I changed our blog template to reflect where we will be!

Cameron's 1st Birthday!!

Cameron has his first birthday on Saturday! I can't beleive it has been a year already. It seems like I just brought him home from the hospital. Here are some pictures of him and his cup-cake cake. He loved it as you can see!

California Here We Come, Right Back to Where We Started From!

Okay, so many of you have seen the For Sale sign in our yard and may wonder what is going on. So here it is. Mike as been interviewing for a position in California that would take us to the town that he grew up in. The job is actually for a company that he worked for when we first got married. He would be the Division Sales Manager for Desert Sales who distributes Red Bull Energy Drink. (I can still feed my addiction!) The owners of this company have worked with Mike for years so they know his work ethic and his background. At this point we are waiting for the official offer but are 95% sure he will get the job. We are sad to move away from this beautiful state and all of our friends. But we are much happier to be close to our parents and 5 of his siblings. (the other 5 scattered throughout the US) So put us in your prayers that we can get there!

Riley's First Day of School!

Wow! We made it! I say we because I think it was more of a struggle for me to let him go than it was for him to go. So far he loves kindergarten. He has a friend that was in his pre-school class that he has been hanging out with. And his teacher seems to be really nice. Thank goodness I worried for nothing!

Mikayla's First Day of School

I can not belive that she is in 3rd grade! Time goes way too fast. She is looking so mature it makes me sad. But I am grateful that she has a wonderful personality and a great sense of humor. She's the best!

Riley's Birthday!

Riley turned 5 today. He thought that when he turned 5 he would be able to do so many things. He thought a tooth would fall out, that he would be able to ride his bike without training wheels and that all of his 4 year old clothes would not fit. It was so cute!

8.8.08 Mikayla turns 8!

This is a special year for Mikayla. She turned 8 on 8.8.08. I am sure it will be her lucky year! Her cousins were here during her birthday and helped us celebrate. Happy Birthday Mikayla!

Riley's best friend Carter invited him to karate practice. Riley was extremely nervous at the begining. After he realized that he was not going to get beat up he actually enjoyed himself!

Who Knew!

Mikayla is on a trip with her cousin Maddie this week. She is some where past Park City in a cabin. I thought Riley would be okay with her being gone but he sorely misses her! "I don't like Kayla!" he shouts. I said "Why". "Because I miss her!" he replies. Talk about cute!

Tricks

On Saturday Riley and Mikayla were rough housing as usual. I always tell them to stop but they don't. As I was taking my nap (I was up all night reading Breaking Dawn) Riley landed wrong while doing his couch trick and hurt his arm. We were not sure of the extent of his injuries but decided to take him to urgent care in the morning after a long night of aches and pains. It turns out that he fractured his arm and has to wear a soft cast. Hopefully he will heal before school starts!
